Pair your beverage with their scrumptious chocolate muffin, which offers a gooey, decadent center that will transport you straight to dessert heaven.

The atmosphere is inviting and friendly, with staff who bring smiles and a welcome warmth to your experience. This is echoed in customer testimonials; Janet Carley recalls a morning filled with joy as her child played arcade games, while David Titmuss appreciated the café’s cozy vibe after a chilly stroll along the pier. Charles McBeath noted the recently revamped space, celebrating the improvements that make it an even more appealing destination for a break, reminding visitors that a trip here can be an invigorating addition to a leisurely stroll along the scenic pier.

Not only does the café offer good refreshments, but it also provides a glimpse into the charm of the Victorian arcades that frame its layout. For those who seek simple pleasures, Southport Pier Pavilion serves as a cozy retreat, providing both sustenance and solace before continuing your adventure in this beautiful coastal town.

While some might suggest the café’s arcade and stalls are 'a bit rubbish', the real treasure lies in the atmosphere and friendly service. After all, it’s often not just about what you find on the menu, but the memories created in the company of good friends and family. For anyone planning a visit to Southport, the Pier Pavilion is undoubtedly a must-visit; a quintessential stop that warms both the body and the heart.

We had a great morning at the pier pavilion today, I brought my four year old there to meet some friends, we had a lovely time playing the penny arcade games especially the fruit race machine that all three of them could play together(they had great fun playing it).We all enjoyed a coffee/soft drink together and although we gave the young lady at the counter a bit of a nightmare with kids changing their minds she looked after us with good humour and a smile on her face. It’s a clean, warm and friendly establishment and well worth a visit

A warm welcome and a hot drink was worth the walk along the pier on a cold day. There is a good selection of hot and cold drinks (including alcoholic beverages) at this café. There are some victorian arcades at this pavillion which gove an idea of what to expect from a victorian seaside holiday which were quite interesting. I would visit again.

Recently refurbed and big improvement. Well worth a visit and feel virtuous walking along the pier to get there. Have drink/food and enjoy the view. Good effort pier people!

Not much there but cafe is ok and has really good staff. Arcade and stalls a bit rubbish but enough to let you warm up before the walk back.

It’s ok. It serves its purpose! The service was ok, the coffee was ok but served in ‘takeaway’ paper cups. I much prefer proper ceramic cups! I had a chocolate muffin which was nice had the gooey chocolate centre. Was able to sit by the glass wall overlooking the beach which was a bonus.
